Mrs. Bettie Williams Atwood, age 65, of Forest City, NC, and formerly of Alleghany County, died Friday evening, May 5, 2006, at the Fair Haven Nursing Home in Forest City. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Lola Mae Collins Williams and the widow of Emmette Atwood. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Bonner and Teresa Albright, both of Mooresboro, NC; a son, Kirby Atwood of Salisbury; four grandchildren; one sister, Jerolene Richardson of Sparta; a brother, Bill Williams of Sparta. A graveside service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Crouse Family Cemetery in Sparta.
