Major League Baseball Player. He spent nine years in the major leagues as a first baseman for the Chicago White Sox, Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies. Clancy made his major league debut in 1924 at the age of 23. He appeared in 522 games during his career, retiring with 12 home runs, 504 hits and a lifetime .281 batting average.
