Thomas Flannagin died at Blanchard, Iowa 12-10-1899 from effects of Cancer in the face.
He was tried and convicted on a charge of Murder and sentenced to 12 Years in the Penitentary. He served about 2 1/2 Years but because of his health was Pardoned by the Governer. After which he was taken to the Soldiers Home in Marshalltown for awhile but was finally taken back to his home in Blanchard, Iowa.
