Mrs. Margaret Adams Griffin, age 91, of League City, Texas, formerly of Forrest City, died Sunday at the Baywind Village Care Center in League City. She had been in poor health for the past two months.
Mrs. Griffin was born November 13, 1919, in Atlanta, Georgia, and was the daughter of Charles Adams and Grace Thornton Adams. She lived in Forrest City until moving to League City in 2003, had been an employee of Sanyo Manufacturing, was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, the Coterie Club, and a long time member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. Griffin married James R. Griffin in 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1989. She is survived by one son, James C. Griffin of Garland, Texas, one daughter, Brenda Griffin Emery, of League City, Texas, and three grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Griffin will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10:30 A.M., Friday with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00 till 7:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
