John O. Crone Of 203 East First avenue died at 9.30 o'clock this morning at Mercy hospital after several days' illness. He was born at McCullis Mills on April 8, 1878, a son of Alex and Eliza (Wooden) Crone, and retired as a middle division engineer two years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary (Calderwood) Crone; one son, John e.; two grandchildren, one sister and one brother, Mrs. Lena Tremmel of Altoona and David Crone of Girard. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Crone reposes at the home. Interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
