Funeral services for Alma "Gertrude" Cauthen May, age 83 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be 10:30AM, Friday, June 9, 2006 at Cox Funeral Home, Oak Grove, Louisiana with Rev. Jeffery May & Rev. Byron Putnam officiating. Interment will be in the Kilbourne City Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Cox Funeral Home, Thursday from 2:00PM - 9:00PM & Friday from 8:00AM until service time.

She is preceded in death by her husband: James Austin May; daughter: Peggy May; granddaughter: Shondra May; parents: James Otto Cauthen & Clara Mellissa Bautwell Cauthen; 3 sisters: Lorraine Rouse, Beulah Mae Kersh, & Jimmie Jordan.

Gertrude is survived by her 5 children: James Richard May of Forrest, Mississippi, Donald May & his wife Lou Ann of Kilbourne, Louisiana, Sue Bonner & her husband Larry of Bastrop, Louisiana, Melba Brown & her husband Johnny Mack of Kilbourne, Louisiana, Ricky Petty & his wife Susan of Fresno, California; 4 sisters: Betty Jo Dark & her husband Douglas Earl of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Juanita Dozier of Mandeville, Louisiana, Patsy Yates & her husband George of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Shirley Chop & her husband Bill of Oak Grove, Louisiana; 13 Grandchildren & 12 Great-Grandchildren.
