Elizabeth Jane was the eldest daughter of William Hainey Briggs and Jane Isabella Wilson. She was married to Samuel Rorer, son of Isaac and Mary, on 23 February 1870. Samuel and Elizabeth were the parents of one daughter, Anna Blanche Rorer who married Charles L. Hoffman. Elizabeth died at the age of 34 of unknown causes. She is buried next to her parents and her brother Joseph Elliot Briggs.
