Clifford Grover CAMPBELL, 69, of 405 Fernbrook Ave., died Monday. A native of Springfield, MO. He left, with his father, and moved to Birmingham to find work, after a strike in Missouri. He lived in Birmingham the rest of his life.

He was retired from White Dairy after 20 years service and from Snap-On-Tool Corp after 10 years of service. Clifford could sale anything. He was a member or Roebuck Park Baptist Church, a member of Brooks Young Sunday School Class.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roebuck Chapel, with burial in Forest Hill. Survivors include a son, Donald Edward Campbell, Birmingham; three daughters, Mrs. Ted Joe Daniels, Atlanta, Mrs. Hollis Fraser, Tylertown, MS, and Miss Shirley Campbell, Birmingham; four brothers, Vernon Campbell, Galveston, TX, Joel Campbell, Paul Campbell, and Gene Campbell, all of Birmingham; and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Shoemaker, Spencer, NC, Mrs. Lois Camp, Mrs. Edna Ball, Mrs. Thelma LeFoy, and Miss Helen Campbell, all of Birmingham.

-Clifford "Slick" CAMPBELL, will always be known as one who had to grow up too quick. Reason being that he was the oldest and he had to work at a young age. Married at the age of 18, to his fathers disapproval. He would help not only his family financially, but his wife's family (Holland.) He would assist in the raising of the kids as well as pay their way for many things. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. He loved to fish, taking most weekends and vacations to do so. His family was very important to him and would do anything to make it better for his wife and kids.
