The Lawrence Democrat 8 May 1918
At her home, on Route 2, Mrs. Minnie Adkins, wife of Asa Adkins, died Wednesday of last week about 3 o'clock. Mrs. Atkins was not quite 28 years old, the mother of 4 little children, and her death, while yet life had only begun is very sad.
The young husband and children have the deepest sympathy of everyone who knows them. She was a daughter of Emery Olive of the Shoal Creek neighborhood.
Both hers and her husband's family are well known Lawrence County people. The burial took place on Thursday at the Bumpass graveyard.
