Died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1989, at his residence in Maringouin. He was 85, and a native of Mix. He was a retired farmer. Visiting at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church hall, Maringouin, 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the church, 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Rudolfo Ibanez. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by wife, Josephine Spragio Canezaro; three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Rosalie) Leggero, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Howard (Rita) Chauvin, Maringouin, and Mrs. Woodie (Dolores) Nall, Grosse Tete; a son and daughter-in-law, LeRoy and Emma Canezaro; two sisters, Mrs. Preston (Laura) Bouy, Maringouin, and Mrs. Sam (Katie) Rotolo, Rockford, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Beneditto and Rosa Lee Bondi Canezaro; two brothers, Phillip Canezaro and Sam Canezaro; four sisters, Tina Manda, Marie Buriege, Maggie Lucito Buriege and Lena Sarullo. Pallbearers will be grandsons, John Leggero, Peter Leggero Jr., Randell Nall, LeRoy Canezaro Jr., Leonard Chauvin and Eddie Dwayne Canezaro. Memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Building Fund. Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, in charge of arrangements.
