Everett Parton, 81, of Stewartsville, passed away Wed June 11, 2002, at the home of his sister-in-law, Jane Dungy.

Mr. Parton was born Sep 2, 1920, in Maysville, to Thomas Eugene and Nellie Maud (Fales) Parton. He attended Maysville schools, and was a longtime resident of Osborn.

On Mar 27, 1941, he married Mary Elizabeth Watkins at Altamont. She preceded him in death in 2000. Mr. Parton later moved to Stewartsville, and was cared for by his sister-in-law Jane Dungy.

Mr. Parton was a boiler-tender and boilermaker for Corn Products in North Kansas City. He retired in 1982. He was a member of the boilermakers union AFL-CIO of North Kansas City, and also a member of the Assembly of God Church in Cameron.

Survivors include 4 sons; Everett Parton, and Robert Parton, both of St. Charles; Brian Parton, St. Joseph; and Christopher Parton, Stewartsville; 6 daughters; Cecelia Holton, Excelsior Springs; Elizabeth Houston and Marie Parton, both of Kansas City; Deborah Frazier, of Osborn, Esther Parton, of Atlanta GA; and Lyllian Turnipseed of Virgil Ks; brother, Jim Parton, Kansas City; 2 sisters, Adelina Smith, Savannah, Irene Watkins, Oklahoma City; 23 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

Services: Fri June 14 at the Bram-Summerfield Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery south of Stewartsville.
