Mrs. Bristow moved to Abilene from Strawn, TX in 1931. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1941. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for over 30 years as an operator and in the network office.
Mrs. Bristow married Bishop Clifton Bristow on April 9, 1954 in Abilene. Mr. Bristow preceded her in death in 1996.
Survivors include one daughter – Wilma Ruth Johnson and husband, Jim Johnson of Abilene, TX; one sister – Morris Howard and husband, Elmer Howard of Athens, TX; one brother – Dick Collins of Granbury, TX; one granddaughter – Mellisa Johnson of Abilene, TX; several nieces and nephews and many friends, who will miss her.
