Charles Wesley Dingus,(William and Mary Green Dingus,Phillip and Nancy McConnell Dingus/es,) b. 29 Oct 1843, Scott Co, VA, The 7th child of William and Mary (Green) Dingus. He came to Floyd County, KY with 3 brothers and 1 sisters, (James Henderson, Samuel P., David Crockett and Phebe Lousie ) to live on property that was bought for them by their father d. 21 Sep 1889, Alphoretta, Floyd Co, KY, md. 26 Oct 1865, Floyd Co, KY, to Nancy Jane Flanery, b.Feb 20, 1840, Floyd Co, KY, d.Mar 3, 1906 at Hite, Floyd Co, KY, d/o Isaac Flanery and Caroline Halbert, d/o John Halbert and Elizabeth Farrow Booker. Charles also served as a Private in Co. F Tenth Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry , Civil War 1862-1863. He and Nancy Jane had 7 children.
