Linda Kaye Curtis Bradshaw was born Monday, Febuary 4, 1946 at Holy Cross Hospital in the East Central neighborhood of Salt Lake City to Ruel and Mary Zola Harward Curtis.
Linda married Dee Ross Bradshaw on May 25, 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by President Selvoy J. Boyer. From 1967 until 1970, they resided at 1964 South 900 East in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. In 1970, they moved to Taylorsville, where they lived with her sister, Sara, and brother-in-law, Henk, in their home. In 1973, they moved out of Sara's home and purchased their own place nearby at 1524 West 4980 South. In 1978, they sold their home and moved to the Bennion area of Taylorsville, where they resided at 5984 South Kamas Circle (2650 West). Linda lived on Kamas Circle for the rest of her life.
She was the youngest of eleven children, and grew up in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City and Kearns. Linda was a graduate of Granger High School, Class of 1964. She was also a graduate of Continental Beauty College.
Linda was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She filled many positions in the Primary and Young Women’s organizations.
Linda passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Sunday, March 11, 1990 after a long, valiant battle with cancer.
She was survived by her husband, Dee; children, Kelli Ann and Tyler Dee; five sisters, Gae (Norm) Gibbons, Phyrl (Oris) Black, Sara (Henk) Flink, Rula (John) Flink, and Barbara (Bill) Inkley; and three brothers, Kent (Bonnie) Curtis, Devon (Bertha) Curtis, and Dale Curtis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruel (1985) and Zola (1980) Curtis, and two brothers, Ruel Wayne Curtis (1925) and Son Curtis (1926).
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 14, 1990 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bennion Heights Fifth Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 5775 South 2700 West in Bennion. A viewing was held on Tuesday, March 13, 1990 From 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West) in Bennion, and one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Linda was laid to rest following the conclusion of the funeral services at the Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City.
