Charles F. Shultz, 78, Dunedin, Fla., a native of Huntington County and supervisor of diesel motor power for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad at his retirement in 1960, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Mease Hospital at Dunedin, Fla, after an extended illness.
He was born on June 10, 1894 in Lancaster Township to Elmer and Emma Shock Shultz, and his first marriage was to the former Jeanette Hoover who is deceased. His second marriage was to the former Mrs. Beatrice Smith who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Galen Shultx, Rt. 2 Montpelier and Paul Shultz, Chandler, Ariz., two daughers, Mrs Eldon (Kathryn) Hosler, Rt. 4 and Mrs E. O. (Ruth) DeWitt, Converse, a step-daughter, Mrs Wanda Tracy, Dunedin, Fla., 16 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Deceased are a sister, Mrs Mabel Wiley, and a brother Howard Shultz.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bailey Mortuary where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Ernest C. Klein officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery.
