Mrs. Anna Lee Ashcraft, 78, of the Ain Community near Sheridan, died this morning at Jefferson Hospital. She was the wife of James O. Ashcraft.
Mrs. Ashcraft, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis, was a native of Grant County. She received her education in Texas Schools.
She was married to Mr. Ashcraft on June 15, 1915 at Double Wells. Mrs. Ashcraft lived at Gould until 1950 when she moved to Ain.
She was a member of the Ain Baptist Church.
Others surviving are three sons, Arthur Ashcraft of Gould, Hogan Ashcraft of Grady and Vearl Ashcraft of Pine Bluff; a brother, Jim Davis of Texas; two sisters; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ain Baptist Church by Reverend C. N. Glover and Reverend Grady Kitchens. Burial will be in Ain Cemetery by South Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Beasley, Bobby Bradford, Charley Bradford,
H. V. Blackerby, J. B. Lites, Noel Lites, Thomas Ashcraft and Lee Dupree.
The body will be at the Vearl Ashcraft home, 820 Florida Street, until 11:30 a.m. Saturday when it will be removed to the church.
