THE LIFE STORY OF —
Esther L. Rosenow, 71
Esther Lillian Rosenow, daughter of Frank and Mabel Alberts Klein was born May II, 1910 in Rockford, Ill. She attended school, growing to be a young girl in Rockford. She then went to live with Henry and Minnie North in Defiance.
On May 13, 1937, she married Ernest Frank Rosenow in Harlan. After their marriage, they made their home in Defiance for a few years before moving to Harlan. This was their home for many years. After Mr. Rosenow died in Jan. of 1971, she continued to make her home in the Harlan, Defiance and Manilla areas until 1977, when she moved to Calif. In March of 1981, she became a resident of the Woodland Skill Nursing Facility in Woodland, Calif.
She died at the Woodland Skill Nursing Facility on Saturday, Nov. 21, 1981 at the age of 71 years.
In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph Charles North and Frank Klein, Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mabel Mutimer of Rockford, Ill.; three sons Delbert North of Rodeo, Calif., Ernest Rosenow, Jr. of Wash, and Larry Rosenow of Overland Park, Kans., one daughter, Delores Howard of Clearlake, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Walters of Ridgecrest Calif, and Ruth Mary Cedarquist of Rockford, Ill., nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan on Saturday, Nov. 28, 1981 with Rev Leon Wallace of the United Methodist church in Kirkman officiating.
Burial was in the Union Township cemetery with John Wells, James Tryon, Don Kloewer, Charles Lehan, Clarence Ingram and Dewey Schwarte serving as casketbearers.
