Son of Edward Elliot Briggs and Clara Margaret Junkins.

Obituary:
BRIGGS - William L., 64, Seward, died July 17, 1968, at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. Born Aug. 3, 1903, in Seward, son of Edward and Clara (Junkins) Briggs. Preceded in death by parents, and three brothers -- Boyd, Dale and Edward. Brother of Charlotte, wife of Chester Wisniske, Du Bois; Gertrude, wife of Charles Link; Vera, wife of Edward Doyle; and Elizabeth, "Betty," wife of Charles Rolling, all of Seward. Also survived by numrous nephews and nieces. Veteran of World War II. Friends recevied after 3 p.m. Thursday at Kenneth N. Gray Funeral Home, Seward, where liturgical prayers will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday. Requiem Mass at 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. David Fisher. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
