Thomas Ducote was my daddy. Everyone knew him as "NooNoo". He passed away due to a heart attack at 59 years old, way before his time. He was well known in Avoyelles Parish because he was in the grocery business. He owned two stores in Marksville. He was good to all he knew. His business truck stated "Going to help a friend". He loved to joke with everyone and never met a stranger. Daddy loved to help people. I miss him everyday and sad that he couldn't see all the little ones grow up. He left behind eight children, Debra (me, I'm the oldest), Pam, Melissa, Katina, Joey, Derrick, Thomas and Ashley. Ashley was a baby when daddy passed and she is now a teenager. My son was 17 when my daddy died. He was more than a grandfather to him, he was more of a daddy to my son than his own father was. Daddy was the youngest of three children but he left behind his sister, Elizabeth Dauzat and brother, Melvin Ducote. They have since passed on to meet daddy in Heaven.
My daddy's sister- Elizabeth Dauzat

Daddy, Melissa is with you now. I know she is in good hands with all of you in Heaven. She is at peace now. Please visit my sister, Melissa Ducote. My grandparents, daddy's parents, can be visited also Lula Gauthier Ducote and Adonis Ducote

Thank you to everyone that has been so kind as to visit my loved ones and leave flowers and notes. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to put beautiful words and pictures on my memorials. May God bless you and your families!
