" SS Haulwen, built by ....., was a British steamer of 4032 tons.
On June 10th, 1917, Haulwen, on a voyage from Montreal to Manchester with a cargo
of wheat, was sunk by the German submarine U-43 (Waldemar Bender), 250 miles
northwest from Fastnet. 4 persons were lost."
