Martha E. Austin, 85, formerly of 701 E. Columbia St., died at 11:58 p.m. Monday in Brethren Home, Flora, where she had been a patient since July 1977.
She was born Nov. 14, 1899 in Mount Morris, Ill., to Emanuel J. and Alice Flora Funderburgh. She was married in 1947 to Jessie Austin, who died in 1972.
She was a homemaker and a member of Flora Old German Baptist Church.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Bernice Oyler, Delphi; two brothers, Frank Funderburgh, Garnett, Kan., and Bill Funderburgh, Lebanon; a sister, May Bridenbaugh, Dayton, Ohio; six stepgrandchildren, 30 step great-grandchildren and three step great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Flora Old German Baptist Church, with Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Middlefork Church Cemetery, Rossville.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Baker Funeral Home.
