Elmer A. McAdam, 62, of Indiana Township, died November 12, 1985, at 10:55 a.m., in Allegheny Valley Hopital, Harrison, after a lingering illness.

He was born May 2, 1923, in West Deer, to Frank C. and Lida Black McAdam, and lived most of his life in West Deer.

Mr. McAdam retired in 1983 as Vice President of Production at Busy Beaver Remodelers, Verona.

During World War II, he was a Corporal in the Army.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Betty McClelland McAdam; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Norma J.) Hartman and Mrs. Lawrence (Darlene F.) Sneider, both of Curtisville, Mrs. Scott (Karen J.) Thomas of Springdale and Mrs. Kenneth (Janet M.) Moreman of Saxonburg; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Laura DeLanzo and Doris McAdam, both of Glenshaw, and Sara Marie Henk of Chicago.

Friends received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ronald J. Ellena Funeral Home, Starr Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a service will be conducted Friday, at 11 a.m., by the Rev. Roger Cramer. Burial will follow at the Dorseyville Cemetery.
