ADAMS Raymond M., of Choctaw, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 1995 at the age of 65. Born February 12, 1930 in Linden, Texas to Charley and Lela (Kessler) Adams. Married September 23, 1950 to Lois Jean Carmichael. Retired OG&E, 33 years service. Drove for Blue and Gold Sausage. Drove charter bus for Kincaid Coach. Volunteer driver for Baptist Disaster Relief Unit. Member of First Baptist Church of Choctaw since 1973 and a deacon for over 30 years. Veteran of the Korean War, received many military awards including the Purple Heart. Survivors wife of 441/2 years, Lois, of the home; son, Paul C. Adams and wife, Jean, Edmond; daughter, Mary Sue Gilliland and husband, Jim of Tulsa; daughter, Karen Gilliland and husband, Daniel of Watonga; daughter, Amy Adams of the home; 3 grandchildren, Matthew and Ross Adams and Katy Rae Gilliland; one sister, Mary Jean Adams of Linden, Texas; and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Adams. Services 2:00 p.m. Tuesday First Baptist Church of Choctaw with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
