Audrey Jones Stanley, 86 of Hamburg, was born February 18, 1916. in Amory, Mississippi and died July 7, 2002, at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Audrey worshiped at the Hamburg Church of Christ and formerly worshiped at the Bradley Church of Christ and Northside Church of Christ in Lake Providence, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Andrew Stanley; her parents, Eddie and Leona Stanford Jones; a brother Herbert Jones; and a sister Wilma Hankins.
Survivors include her sons, Gerald and wife Sherry Stanley of Lake Providence, LA, and Richard and wife BC Stanley of Gurdon; two daughters, Anne Jones and husband Roy of Monroe, LA and Judy Hattaway of Hamburg; a brother, Dick Jones and wife Vera of Little Rock; three sisters, Louise Fortenberry and husband Ray of Tallulah, LA, Evelyn Johnson of Boulder Creek, CA, and Eunice Odaware of Gillett; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at the Northside Church of Christ in Lake Providence, LA on July 10, at 11 a.m. with V.W. Hayhurst, Joe Sponagule and Woodie Smith officiating. Interment was at the Lake Providence Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Jones, Mark Stanley, Jerry Stanley, Dr. Gary Stanley, Rick Stanley, and Chaz Hattaway. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Chapman, Oscar Clark, Taylor Hattaway, Terry Jones, and Bryan Pinnell.
