Pfc. Waldron, 20, Dies in Vietnam
P.F.C. Jerry Monroe Waldron, 20, formerly of 625 Izler Street, Waycross, died May 19 from injuries received while serving with the U. S. Army in Vietnam.
A native of Pierce County, he had lived in Jacksonville, Fla., a number of years where he attended Andrew Jackson High School. Upon returning to Waycross he had engaged in the floor covering business before entering the army.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dianne Joyner Waldron of Waycross, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Waldron of Jackswonville; two sisters, Mrs. William T. Spires, Jr. of Waycross and Miss Lillie Mae Waldron of Jacksonville; a brother, John L. Waldron of Jacksonville; several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Services for P.F.C. Waldron will be announced later, pending the arrival of the body from Vietnam, by Clough-Pearson Funeral Home of Blackshear.

Funeral Services Held Saturday For Pfc. Waldron
Funeral services for Pfc. Jerry Monroe Waldron, 20, of 625 Izler St , Waycross, who died May 19, in Vietnam from injuries received while serving with the 5th Cavalry, U.S. Army, were held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Ben James Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Tommy Jordan, Elder Estell Grayson and Rev. Dennis Carter officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery with full military rites at the graveside.
A native of Pierce County, he had lived in Jacksonville, Fla., a number of years where he attended Andrew Jackson High School. Upon returning to Waycross, he had engaged in the floor covering business before entering the Army. He had served in Vietnam two months.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dianne Joyner Waldron of Waycross; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Waldron of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mrs. William T. Spires, Jr. of Waycross and Miss Lillie Mae Waldron of Jacksonville; a brother, John L. Waldron of Jacksonville; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Howard of Blackshear. There are several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Clough-Pearson Funeral Home of Blackshear was in charge of arrangements.
