He was a member of the Full Gospel Church. He was a Navy veteran of the Viet Nam era and worked for the Little Rock and Mountain View Police Departments. He graduated from Timbo High School--Class of 1959.
He is survived by his mother, Mae Long, sons; James (Pati) Long, Jr. of Mtn. View and Thomas (Tiffany) Long of Fox; daughters, Stacy (Jimmy) Lambert of Mississippi, Paulette (Jerry) Hoyle of Little Rock, Jamie (David) Green of Garfield, Arkansas, and Mellisa (Chris) Fenner of Rogers, one brother, David Long, two sisters, Lucille Greenway and Robin Beckham, seventeen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, wife, Carol (Davies) Long, and two brothers, C.O. Long, Jr. and Roger Dale Long.
