Johan Adam HITTEL/HITTLE b: 21 July 1748 or 13 Sept 1748 Northampton Co, PA died 19 Aug 1834 Turbot Twp., Northumberland Co, PA s/o George Michael HITTLE Sr. and his wife Anna Maria, married abt 1775 Elizabeth Fischer (1748-1838) d/o Christian & Maria Magdalena FISCHER. Father of 7 children: Ann Marie (1776), Maria Magdalena (1778); Susanna Christman (1780-1824); John Hittle (1782-1846); Jacob Hittle (1785-1795); Daniel Hittle (1788-1848) & unknown. J. Adam HITTLE was a revolutionary Soldier. He was a Inn Keeper in Upper Hanover Twp, Montgomery Co, PA also had a small farm near Niantic Church. He's buried at the Union Cemetery, Delaware Twp, Northumberland Co, PA now the cemetery is referred to as Stitzel Cemetery, It's located just a few miles north of his son John's farm near McEwensville, Pa.

2nd son of Georg Michael and Anna Maria Hittel, John Adam served as the Executor of the Estate for both of them as they died nearly 20 years separately. Adam, like his father and all of his brothers, served in the Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary War. jah01/13/2008.
