HUGH GREER DIES, FUNERAL IS MONDAY
Hugh Greer, a resident of Escondido for two years, was summonsed by death Friday afternoon at San Diego. He was 76 years old at the time of his passing, and had made his home for the past two years with his brother, Andrew, in Excondido.
The deceased also leaves a son, Walter, of Corona, who will arrive here for funeral services.
The Carl G. Palm mortuary has charge of the funeral rites which will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel.

FUNERAL RITES FOR N.H. GREER
Sympathizing friends assembled at the chapel of the Carl G. Palm mortuary Monday afternoon at 2 to pay honor to the memory of Noah Houston Greer, who passed away Friday afternoon in San Diego. Rev. Ernest Nichols, pastor of First Baptist church, officiated with a comforting message to the bereaved. Mrs. Stanley Lockwood sang two favorite selections entitled "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul". She was accompanied by Mrs. Helen Thatcher Stoddard.
Old-time friends of the family acted as casketbearers. Interment was at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Out of town relatives who were present for the funeral service included the deceased's son, Walter Greer, and grandson J.W. Greer and Mrs. Greer of Corona.

Hugh Greer was born probably in Blount Co., TN. He was a son of Andrew Vance & Catharine (Gregory) Greer (see Dice Cemetery, Newton Co., MO). He married (1) Lenora Woodman, Aug 14, 1887 in Newton Co., MO--they had one son, Walter Leroy Greer on July 5, 1888 in Calif. (2) unknown--Hugh and this 2nd wife had 2 children: Donald Greer and Catherine Greer.
