Ms. Alvarado was a native of Frederick, Okla. She had lived in Hughson since 1986 and in Keyes from 1958 to 1986.
She was a homemaker and worked at United Samaritan Foundation of Hughson.
She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church, Ceres.
She is survived by her companion, Salvador Alvarez of Hughson; children, Salvador Alvarez of Modesto, and Jose Alvarez, Maria Alvarez and Patricia Alvarez, all of Hughson; father, Antonio Alvarado of Modesto; brothers, Juan Alvarado and Moses Alvarado, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Rosa Pineda of Modesto and Christina Juarez of Ceres; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Maria Guadalupe Alvarez; and her mother, Aurora Reyes Alvarado.
Visitation from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, with the rosary there at 6p.m.
A Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Ceres.
Burial at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Modesto.
