WESTVILLE — Glen P. Barrett, 65, of Westville, passed away at 10:47 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2006, at his home.

He was born on June 21, 1941, in Danville, the son of William M. and Ruth M. (Hudson) Barrett. He was united in marriage to Sandra K. Hanover on Sept. 28, 2000. She survives of Westville. Other survivors include: one son, Tony Barrett of Florida; two daughters, Glenett (Matt) Gibb of Champaign and Stephanie Idlett of Ohio; one stepdaughter, Jody Clay of Westville; one goddaughter, Ashley Budnovich of Danville; his four grandchildren, Kaitlin, Troy, Cole and Zachary; his four sisters, Belva (Bob) Ramble of Arizona and Arlene Nichols, Clara (Jerry) Curry and Reba (Bill) Draper, all of Danville; and his two brothers, Bill (Ann) Barrett and Joe (Gloria) Barrett, both of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lois Lucas, Nick Barrett and Dave Barrett.

Glen was an employee of Illinois Power for 35 years retiring on Aug. 31, 2004. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
