Barbara Lynn Alred, 26, of Courtland, died Sunday, September 15, 2002, at The Med in Memphis, Tennessee, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 18, at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. E. K. Gordon officiated the service. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Alred, daughter of Junior and Sue Darby Alred of Courtland, was born October 7, 1975, in Batesville to Robert Lee and Sue Darby Alred. She was a waitress at Country Catfish in Oakland and a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors, other than her parents, include a son, Clayton Niles Harget of Courtland; three sisters, Tammy Lynn Alred Blakely and Nancy N. Alred Pitcock, both of Batesville, and Tina Marie Alred Redwine of Pope; three brothers, Thomas Reed Alred and Bobby Wayne Alred, both of Batesville, and Cory Lee Alred of Sardis; and grandparents, A.D. Darby and Elvin Alred, Sr., both of Batesville.
