Sylvia was the first child born August 16, 1925 to Samuel (Sam) Robert Isbell buried in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Deport, Texas. and Edith Louvine Norman, buried in Laurel Land Memorial Cemetery Dallas Texas under the name of Edith Trousdale.

Sylvia was only 4 years old and her sister Billie Wayne 2 when their father died in 1929. Grandma Sam told us he layed down in the bed and was reading his Bible. He died with his arms crossed and his bible on his chest.
Grandma Sam, married #2 Marvin Crabb- no issue. # 3 Samuel Trousdale- no issue. She outlived 3 husbands.

Sylvia went to school in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School class of 43.

1st husband Buddy Sims. They had 4 children.

2nd huband William Thomas Taylor Jr. born 1927, They are buried in the burns cemetery in the Taylor plot along with Sylvia's daughter Sarah Faye Sims, a son-in-law, James Eugene Sherrell who was Billie Kay Taylor's spouse.
Sylvia and William Thomas Taylor Jr. had two daughters.
Marian Elizabeth Taylor 1954, married William R.Barker.

Billie Kay Taylor 1955, married James Eugene Sherrell.

Sylvia had one younger sister Billie Wayne Isbell who was born August 14, 1927. Billie Wayne married Willie Rouse and had 4 children. One died an infant, two sons, Willie Rouse, Martin (Marty) Rouse, and a daughter Deborah Lynn Rouse.

Mother (Sylvia) worked at Oak Cliff Medical and Surgical Hospital, and Stephens Park Hospital. In her earlier years she worked building airplane wings for the military.

She loved to sew for us kids as we were growing up. Many a times she spent a full day at work, come home cooked, and then made new dresses for us girls before she went to bed.

She was a Baptist and loved the Lord. She is greatly missed by all that knew her.
