DNA has proven that Charles Thomas LaRue is the son of Shadrach LaRue and Rebecca Weymann. You will be able to find Charles and his family living next to Shadrach in the 1850 census. In his obituary, while Charles' parents are not mentioned, it is noted that he left home at about age 13 to work the Pennsylvania turnpike. His obituary also notes that he voted for Abraham Lincoln and served in the Civil War in Capt. Knight's State Militia.
