Phillip Black, 29, died this morning at his farm home three miles southeast of Rockton after having been ill for the past year with tumor of the brain. He was born on September 27, 1893, in Owen township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Black who preceded him in death. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Martha and Ruth, one brother, William of Owen township, and five sisters, Mrs. Mable Wright and Mrs. Ida Griswold, South Dakota, Mrs. Ella Brown, San Francisco, Cal., and Mrs. Katie Maxwell and Mrs. Louise Collns, Canada. The time for the funeral has not been announced.
