Paul is one of 700 "abandoned children" who were placed in orphanages only to die and be buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indpls. An article appeared in the June 24-July 5, 2006, issue of Nuvo, telling of the discovery of these children. Most had little or no documentation. Paul is one of the few for whom there is documentation. This is what appears "Paul Coleman, 58 days old, died Oct 12, 1898. Paul Coleman's father deserted the family before his birth, and two weeks later his mother was foreced to 'abandon the child because she can not find work.' He was given to the Orphan's Asylum but spent his last days at Eleanor Hospital, suffering from 'sore eyes.' He died of pulmonary congestion."
He is buried in the Community Hill" section of Crown Hill.
