She married O. Norman Alkire on Nov. 11, 1951 in Pyrmont. He is retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co.
Mrs. Alkire was a homemaker, a member and former deacon of Bethany Presbyterian Church, a former member of Sweet Adelines and a past Republican precinct committeewoman. She served as a volunteer in the ICU unit at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano.
Surviving with her husband are three sons, Douglas N, Dennis J, and DAniel L. She leaves 5 grandchildren.
