Born in Caldwell, Burleson County, Tx to John Franklin Sprott ( 12/5/1846 Charleston,SC - 4/1/1936 Slick, OK sw of Tulsa ) and Mary Jane Spratt ( 1/31/1851 Mecklenburg Co,NC - 4/29/1926 Porters Chapel Cem, Burleson Co TX ). Married Tollison 2/27/1909 Cameron, TX. Lived first north of Davilla in community of Crush, later close to Alligator Bayou so. of Davilla, and later moved to Bartlett, TX 12 mi. west.
Affectionately known by kids and grandkids as "Mama", she was short, heavy set and always smiling. Her youngest daughter Florence Florine lived with her and "Papa", and never married.
Mama's siblings were: Myrtle 1893, Calvin C. 1895,Thomas B. 1879,Julius Albert 1881, James 1882, Charlie 1883, Roy 1887, and Riley 1888.
"Mama" died in Taylor Hospital of kidney failure. Funeral conducted by Goodnight Funeral Home, Bartlett,TX.
