Civil War soldier. He was a cooper and farmer by profession. Blodgett enlisted as a Private and mustered in with Company D, 4th Vermont Volunteer Infantry on December 17, 1863. He was wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness on May 5, 1864. Blodgett was discharged because of wounds on August 2, 1864.
