Graveside services for Patsy LaJean Carter, 69, Sulphur, were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Jan 16 with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn
Cemetery with DeArman's Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born January 9, 1938 in Wynnewood to Bessie Corene (Ammons) and Walter Frantz, she died Sunday, Jan. 14 in Sulphur.
She married Harold L. Carter in Ardmore on December 13, 1958. She was a police dispatcher for the City of Sulphur and Murray County before retiring. She lived all her life in the Sulphur area and was a member of the Dougherty Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Renee Courtney and a brother, Edwin Frantz.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Peggy and Lenard Koch, and Tammie and Jackie Edwards, all of Davis; six grandchildren including Jason Courtney, whom she adopted and raised as a son and his wife, Jessica and six great grandchildren.
