Funeral services for J. Paul Sharp, 81, of Andrews were held Wednesday, June 21, at Second Baptist Church in Andrews with the Rev. Kevin Covington, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
He died Sunday, June 18, at his home in Andrews.
He was born Dec. 20, 1924, in Dublin. He moved to Andrews in 1960 from Kermit.

He married Bobbie Anderson on Aug. 7, 1972, in ndrews.
Sharp was a pumper for Gulf Oil until his retirement.
He also worked as a butcher and a cowboy and rode bulls in his younger days.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Moose Lodge and was a founding member of the Andrews Eagles Lodge.

He was preceded in death by, his wife in December of 2005, a stepdaughter, all of his brothers and sisters and his parents.
Survivors include four daughters, Claudia Duncan and Kitti Steele of Dallas, Teresa Froelich of Andrews and Yolanda Sharp of Lake Ellsinore, Calif.; three stepchildren, Jan Nelson and Naomi Foreman of Midland and Billy Bob Kennedy of Houston; five grandchildren and many step-grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
