"Simon Vollmer
Simon Vollmer died at the home of his son, S.P. Vollmer, three miles northeast of Stillwater, on Friday, May 6, 1910, aged 87 years, 1 month and 12 days. He had been ill three months. The funeral was held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Virtes Williams, and interment was in Fairlawn cemetery.
The decedent left seven living children, four in Oklahoma and three in Ohio. Of these, John Vollmer, of Perry, Dan Vollmer, on Anadarko, and Miss Catharine Vollmer, of Edmond, attended the funeral."
