Mrs. Margaret Waddle died at St Elizabeth Hospital at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a long illness of a complication of diseases. Her condition was serious for some time. She was 78 years old and the body was removed to the Evans parlor to be prepared for burial. Mrs. Waddle was the widow of George Washington Waddle and her health had been impaired for nine years. She was a woman of noble character and had many friends in the city.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Allen, of this city. The remains were this afternoon taken to the family residence 1320 Cincinnati Street and the funeral will be held from the residence a 1:30 o'clock Thursday morning. The burial will be in the Isley Cemetery. Lafayette, Indiana Daily Courier, June 5, 1917.
