Burial was in the Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville for Mr. Shipley who died at the Franklin Parish Hospital at 8 p.m. Wednesday after a short illness.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and was a retired pipeline worker.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Willie Earl Elloit [sic? Elliott] of New Orleans, Mrs. Dorothy Louise Hayes of Monroe; one son, Oster [sic Oscar] Franklin Shipley of New Orleans; one brother, J. R. Shipley of Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Hilburn of Baskin, Mrs. Murrel Howard of Monroe, Mrs. Mary Bell Pippins of Brookhaven, Miss.; and four grandchildren.
