WINNSBORO — Funeral services for Clarence L. Shipley, 62, of Winnsboro, were at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home here with the Rev. Floyd Hawthorne and the Rev. Charles Nugent officiating.
Burial was in the Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville for Mr. Shipley who died at the Franklin Parish Hospital at 8 p.m. Wednesday after a short illness.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and was a retired pipeline worker.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Willie Earl Elloit [sic? Elliott] of New Orleans, Mrs. Dorothy Louise Hayes of Monroe; one son, Oster [sic Oscar] Franklin Shipley of New Orleans; one brother, J. R. Shipley of Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Hilburn of Baskin, Mrs. Murrel Howard of Monroe, Mrs. Mary Bell Pippins of Brookhaven, Miss.; and four grandchildren.
