In Loving Memory.
On Dec. 4th the death angel entered the home and bore away the spirit of Mr. Miles Milford. He had been a great sufferer many months before his death. He bore his sufferings not as a heavy yoke but rather as a triumph of the spirit over the flesh. He was born Aug. 17, 1848, joined the church at Rock Spring, when he was seventeen years old and ordained as Deacon in 1872.
Resolved, That the sudden removal of such a life from among our midst leaves a vacancy and a dark shadow that will be deeply realized by all the members and friends of this church, will prove a serious loss to the community and also the public.
Resolved, That with deep sympathy with the bereaved family, we express our hope that even so great a loss to us all may be overruled for good by Him who doeth all things well.
Patient sufferer, thy works are all done, the battle fought, the victory won, and now he is at rest, sweet rest.
Resolved, That in testimony of our respect to his memory, a copy of these resolutions be furnished the family and the LaFayette Sun for publication.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Maggie Lovelace
Mrs. Gladys Sanders
Mr. Jim Sanders, Committee
Husband of Susan Victoria Williams.
