Mabel Perdue Burson, 91, of Springdale, and formerly of El Dorado, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at Maples Nursing Home in Springdale.
B orn Dec. 8, 1914, in El Dorado, she was the daugh- Burson ter of Walter Perdue and Bamma Hearin Perdue. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerton and a former member of West Side Baptist Church in El Dorado for 62 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon T. Burson; her parents; three brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Burson is survived by a son, Jack L. Burson and his wife, Virginia, of Bella Vista; two daughters, Bettye Sue Echert and her husband, Tom, of Tacoma, Wash., and Deloris M. Girard and her husband, Pat, of Springdale; 13 grandchildren, 30 greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery on U.S. 167, south of El Dorado, with Pastor Stuart Bell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Young' Funeral Directors, 508 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
