Lois Evangaline Price Schessler of Laurel died Thursday, May 21, 1992.
She was born April 28, 1912, on the family homestead 12 miles south of Laurel in what was then Carbon County. She was the daughter of Benjamin Lincoln Price and Ibbie Jane Fearheiley.
She graduated from Laurel High School in 1930 and attended Montana State College in Bozeman. She married Herman "Ike" Schessler in Hardin September 18, 1930. They had been married for 61 years.
Mrs. Schessler was a member of the Laurel United Methodist Church and Church Circle, the Laurel Garden Club, a 50-year charter member of the Laurel Federated Women's Club, and past worthy matron of Eastern Star, and a member of the Nile Club.
She took great pride in her family, home, friends, and her pants and flowers. She was very devoted to the clubs she belonged to and to their community activities.
Mrs. Schessler was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Harold Alfred Price and her sister, Jean Garnet Price Spoon.
She is survived by her husband of Laurel, two sons, and their wives, Donald Richard and Beverly of Tuscon, AZ and Robert Price and Joyce of Laurel; five grandchildren, Dana Louise of St. Louis, MO, Craig Hunter and Kari Jean of Tuscon, AZ, Rob K. and his wife Julie, and Stacey of Laurel; two great-granddaughters, Samantha Ann and Emilee Justine of Laurel; a brother Byron Lincoln Price and his wife Peggy of Eugene, OR, and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services were held at 2 pm. Tuesday, May 26, 1992. Memorials are suggested to the Laurel United Methodist Church or Shrine Crippled Children's Hospitals.
Smith-Cashmore Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
