CLARK SUMMIT, PA. - Helen Shannon Costello, of 607 Lilac Lane, Clark Summit, Pa., died Monday, June 27, 1988 in Mercy Hospital, Scranton. She was the wife of Thomas R. Costello.
Born in Oswego, N.Y., daughter of the late Edger J. and the late Nellie Feeney Shannon, she was raised in educated in Oswego schools, graduating from Syracuse University. She was a grade school teacher in Ilion and Oswego.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Thomas R., of Lakewood, Colo., and James M., Clark Summit; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Mary Katherine) Mercier, Oswego, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is predeced in death by one son, Edger J. and a grandson, Mark, and four brothers.
Funeral will be conducted Thursday from the Jennings-Calvey Funeral Home, 111 Colburn Ave., Clark Summit, with a Mass of Christian Burial 9 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows Roman Catholic Church. Graveside interment 3 p.m. in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Herkimer. Calling hours at the funeral home, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9.
