John William Dickson

John William Dickson, age 78, of Pioneer, passed away in Lodi, CA. on March 21, 2006. He was born in Tucson, AZ on April 18, 1927.

He attended school in Rodeo, NM, then served in the Navy Sea Bees during WWII. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas Company for 2 years, then later for PG&E for 20 years, the latter years were served at Tiger Creek.

He owned Dickson Sand and Gravel from 1967 until 1993. He also owned Amador Memorial Cemetery from 1989 until he retired in 2003.

He was a member of the American Legion in West Point, as well as the West Point VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Dickson of Pioneer, a son, Rodney Dickson, brothers, Thomas James Dickson of Florida, and Leo Ralph Dickson of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by two grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by sons, Douglas William Dickson, and Robert Michael Dickson.

He was also preceded in death by sisters, Helen Deloris Steele, and Viola Mayrie DiGiacomo.

A interment at Amador Memorial Cemetery in Pioneer.
