Thomas was the son of Halsey O. Harrington (b.1893 d.1986) and Florence Marguerite (Gerlach) Harrington (b.1897 d.1987). Grandson of Harvey S. Harrington(b.1864 d.1917) and Marcia E. (Jenkins) Harrington (b.1866 d.1941). He was the great-grandson of George W. Harrington(b.1823 d.1900) and Judith (Bennett) Harrington (b.1828 d.1899). He was the brother of Sally Harrington Miller.

Tom married June Vivian (Whiteside) Harrington in May of 1948 and he had three children: Kathy (b.1949), Sheila (b.1953) and Mike (b.1956).

Graduated Glenbard High School 1941. Owned the Buttonhole Fabric Store in Glen Ellyn. Worked as a Glen Ellyn Police Officer and at the Glen Ellyn Public Works.

During World War II Tom was a Pharmacist Mate First Class and he was on the LST 841 in the South Pacific. He is credited in delivering two Korean babies on board ship.

Thomas was my Father.
