Singer. In the 1960's, he gained national success with sisters Robbie and Arlene Harden as the Harden Trio. Recording for Columbia Records in 1966, the vocal group hit number 2 on the country charts with "Tippy Toeing," a song that also was in the top 40 pop charts. He later concentrated on songwriting with songs on albums by Conway Twitty, Gene Watson, Kenny Rogers, George Jones and others. His Top 10 hits include Reba McEntire's "Today All Over Again," Loretta Lynn's "Home" and Mark Chesnutt's "Too Cold at Home" and "Old Country."
